KRS 17.580 controls what the site may display. Private Warren County Registry Fields
Kentucky collects more than it publishes. KRS 17.500 describes items that can include Social Security numbers, fingerprints, palm prints, DNA, and government identification numbers. Collection does not make them public.

Registration Requirements and Levels in Kentucky
Kentucky's public framework is based on duration. It should not be translated into federal-style risk tiers. Under KRS 17.520, certain categories require lifetime registration. Others generally register for 20 years after release or the maximum discharge date from supervision, whichever ends later.

Lifetime categories include specified crimes such as first-degree rape and sodomy, sexually violent predator designations, and some repeat or multiple felony offenses against minors. Reincarceration for another crime or supervision violation pauses the remaining period. Foreign, federal, or military convictions can create a Kentucky duty. The sentencing court sets the duration in its judgment and sends it to KSP.
The controlling discharge point matters when reading an end date. For the 20-year group, Kentucky measures from release from confinement or from the maximum discharge date tied to probation, shock probation, conditional discharge, parole, or another early release, whichever produces the longer period. That is why a conviction date alone cannot reliably tell a Warren County reader when registration ends. A later period of incarceration can also stop the clock while the person is confined. House Bill 868 was introduced in 2026 with a proposal to change 20 years to 25, but the official legislative record showed only referral to the House Judiciary Committee. It had not become the current rule documented by the research, so 25 years should not be treated as Kentucky law.
